This is story about another US goverment’s intelligence organization. If Japanese like everything that is ‘Kawaii’, in other hand, American love story about intelligence organization so much. There are a lot of novels, movies and TV series that they’ve been produced about CIA, FBI, NSA and other organization either those are real or just fantasy organizations. SHIELD is one of the fantasy organization, created by Marvel studio, SHIELD handle anything about unusual or superpower cases that can’t be handled by other intelligence organization. Story about shield has been started to be promoted since the 2nd film of Hulk, The Incredible Hulk. But it was just a glance at film’s intro. The film just showed us some documents and one of them had shield’s logo at letterhead and signed by its director, Nick Furry.Unless you are die hard Marvel’s fans, I am not if there are anybody who noticed it when the first time they saw the movie.
In the next Marvel’s movies, SHIELD got more scenes and its existense gave more significant impact to the story. In the 2 Iron Man movies and Thor, SHIELD had played important roles but it finnaly got main stage in The Avenger, the best seller super heroes movies in the history so far. SHIELD gathered some of Marvel’s heroes and fighted an army of aliens. Their war took place at New York city and I think it would impact American’s economy thousand times harder than 9/11 tragedy if it really happened. It was epic great battle that was ended by a single nuclear rocket from US military, I wonder why they didn’t do it from the beginning. shoting the alien’s ship with nuclear.
One mere nuclear rocket was enough to destroy all of the aliens on a single blow and I belive US military has thousands of them. And US is not the only country who have it. So, the conclusion is, we, normal human, basically don’t need those superheroes to protect us, If one single nuclear rocket is very powerfull, we can try to conquer the universe instead of being attacked. But people still want heroes to save them, super power people that they can idolise, good people who protect the weaks, that why this movie got a great success, I think.
Marvel really know how to take more advantages from this movie. They know that SHIELD is mysterious and people curious about it. So, they make up the story about it and now we can watch about SHIELD’s weird mission every week. I’ve just watched 5 episodes out of 14 that have been aired but I’d like to share something I think interisting about this series. As a normal male human, I am a fan of their female agents. Each of them has her own charm that can attrack particular mans.
Melinda May
Let’s start with the most senior among them. Agent May actually had retired from battle field and moved to behind the desk before Coulson recruited her back to be a pilot. She didn’t look interested at the beginning, but I think her basic intintc has told her that she was’t belong to behind desk job. I don’t recall when she accepted Coulson’s offer but she showed up in the next scenes.
She’s the only female fighter on the Coulson’s small team and of course she’s really good on it. She could take down some Peru’s armies on second and she did all of her fighting without dropping sweat. She’s quite assertive and to do point when she’s talking, even to her team leader, Coulson. But, when it comes to difficult situation, she will be the calmest, the only one who can still think straight whatever the condition they are into. Recruiting her is one of Coulson best decisions because without her, this series would end in the second episode.
A good fighter and mature woman with assertive talking, she make me remember about Katsuki Mizutani of Katsu!, my favorite Adachi Mitsuru’s heroine. If Mizutani joined Japanese intelligence, I think she would be like her.
Skye
The girl next door of this series. In my view, since the first scene of her, she has been sexually attractive. A genius hacker who break SHIELD security system from a laptop. Coulson thought that he could handle her so he recuited her into his team. After couple of episodes, she has proven that Coulson’s decision was right. She has helped them hacking, tracing, disabling security system, even becoming undercover agent. Her initiative to become field agent and train her self under agent Ward make her become even better asset for SHIELD, especially Coulson’s team, which currently have lack number of fighter.
I took Computer science in college and work as computer programmer right now, so I know exactly how difficult to find a girl like her in our world. A hot sexy girl who understand computer very well, I am afraid someone like her will forever just remain in our fantasy. Although girls like her are actually exist in this world, the number of them must be very limited. Bad luck for us.
Jemma Simmons
And this is the real nerd. A Biochemist, rocket scientist or whatever she is, she’s a very smart girl who look like understant every difficult thing. She’s used to talk with high sophisticated language that I barely understand. And her bizarre accent just make everything worse. But, she’s incredibly friendly. She always smiles and I like her smile.
In my view, she’s the most attractive character in this series. May is the coolest and Skye is hottest, but Simmons is special. She’s normal. She’s more humane than thosee 2 womans. If you want protection and live advice, you can go and ask May. If you’re looking for sex, you come to Skye. But if you want a normal serious relationship, You’d better date someone like Simmons.
